Décalage immédiat
“The real voyage consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in acquiring new eyes”, wrote Proust.
Travel photos? They’re only images from a trip! A journey to the land of imagination, on the shortcuts leading to the borders of the absurd, now that is something else. These installations and assemblages are created as still life compositions, in a way truly alive. They echo those in great masters that are Man Ray, René Magritte and obviously Chema Madoz.
It is the unexpected and the paradoxical that inspire these images: keep the essence of the object but transfer them into an unreal but credible context and witness their poetic potential. Let yourself be transported by this systematic highjacking, take-off is now.
